WHS takes 30% off e-books, including Dan Brown

W H Smith is to sell the e-book version of Dan Brown's new book The Lost Symbol at a discount of 30% as part of a new offer of 30% discount on all e-books.
It means the book will be sold at £13.29, saving £5.70 off the list price of £18.99, though still £3.80 more than the price WHS has put on the printed hardback.WHS pushed out its new e-book offer yesterday, with 30% off all "75,000" ebooks and digital audio books. In a tweet about the e-book prices, WHS added: "Not parity but it's a start."

Waterstone's has yet to reveal the price of the stand-alone digital version of the new Dan Brown, though it is giving the digital version away free to those pre-ordering one its two new Reader devices, with purchasers receiving a gift card to the value of £9.50 to spend on the Dan Brown e-book.
