RANDOM HOUSE NZ FEELING MIGHTILY PLEASED - AND SO THEY SHOULD BE

Two of the leading lights from Random House New Zealand’s stable of writers are basking in the glow of strong sales.
The publisher is delighted to announce that Jenny Pattrick’s seminal work of historical fiction, The Denniston Rose, has now sold more than 50,000 copies in New Zealand and Kate de Goldi’s superlative, Montana award-winning novel, The 10PM Question, has now sold more than 20,000 copies.
The 10PM Question
was originally published by Longacre Press, whom Random House New Zealand bought in November 2009.

The Bookman reckons these are mightily impressive figures and offers warm congratulations to the authors and their publisher.
And the good news is that almsot at the top of my reading pile is the new Jenny Pattrick novel, Inheritance, which is published this Friday.
There is a lot of excellent NZ fiction about, a subject I will be commenting on shortly.
