Footnote from The Bookman

This annual cricket match is played in memory of Richard King, professional publisher and book designer, amateur (but very enthusiastic) cricketer, who died on 5 March 2008.

Photo left, courtesy his partner Gillian Newman, shows Richard in St.James Park, London in 2007.

The Bookman regrets he is unable to be present to support the publishers side but extends his best wishes for a great game and happy occasion.
