Fourth Last Bookshop opens

The Last Bookshop will open a fourth branch in Salisbury on Monday 15 August.
The mini-chain, which has two branches in Oxford and one in Bristol (pic right), is run by Jake Pumphrey and Nick Walsh who also run Pumpkin Wholesale.
The pair came up with the name The Last Bookshop as a rebuke to those who predicted the death of indie bookshops due to the rise of the internet. All the Last Bookshops offer remainder books that might otherwise be destroyed.
The new bookshop is based on Butcher Row, Salisbury, and will sell remainder books for £5 or less.
Pumphrey said: "The fact that we are about to open our fourth bookshop indicates that there are still many people who value reading books in the traditional manner—and we hope that the choice of name will continue to be something of a misnomer!"
