The prospect of another Eagles’ win is not the only thrill in store for the U.S. fans

More wins for the Eagles won’t be the only thrill fans have to look forward to over the next few weeks.
The much-anticipated 29 September worldwide release of Lee Child’s new Reacher novel is also sure to thrill them ― especially being able to buy it in New Zealand during the Rugby World Cup.
A new Reacher from the internationally bestselling U.S. writer Lee Child (left) is always an annual publishing event for any fan but for our American guests, picking up their copy while they’re down under will particularly resonate. It will be quite a special memory for them to cherish.
"Although the odds for the Eagles aren’t looking great, what fans can be sure of is that the new Reacher is definitely a winner according to some of the early reviews coming through," says Random House publicist, Jennifer Balle.
“Graham Beattie, who writes the popular Beattie’s book blog and is also a die-hard Reacher fan, has boldly suggested ‘it may be the best Reacher novel yet’. And, a Dunedin reviewer has warned that when people pick up the book they need to be sure they don’t have any other plans for the day because they will not be able to put it down. ‘It will nag and taunt you until you surrender’.”
Called THE AFFAIR, the prequel is set in March 1997 ― six months before the events of KILLING FLOOR, Lee Child’s first Reacher thriller, when Jack is still in the army.
Two Kiwis have been written into Reacher history in the new novel. Cantabrians Paul Evers and Bruce Lindsay both, last year, won the chance to have a character named after them. Evers won the “Are you Jack Reacher” competition and Lindsay was the highest bidder in a charity auction.
Thousands of copies of the new book have just been loaded into Random House Auckland warehouse ready for distribution ahead of the New Zealand release.
