Perspectives on Publishing from Latin America and Spain.


At the Buenos Aires Book Fair, Zona Futuro showcased alternate, interdisciplinary and experimental projects — publishing of the future. 

Planeta has bought a majority share in respected mid-sized independent Spanish publisher Tusquets, further expanding the influence of the Spanish juggernaut.  

As Spain's economic crisis deepens, the launch of two series at BABF is an important milestone for Spanish-language publishing in the Americas. 

The Bogota International Book Fair was a high-energy affair, which featured Brazil as guest of honor. It attracted 415,000 visitors and generated $20m in sales. 

A Buenos Aires Book Fair survey names "the 50 publishing professionals whose actions have had the strongest impact on their colleagues over the last years." Read more »
