Beatnik Winter News

Warm greetings from our chilly Eden Terrace studio!
In case you haven't heard... Sally was awarded a place on the ART Venture 2012 programme which is an initiative of the Arts Regional Trust that supports local creative entrepreneurs (Sally in a nutshell). The program is keeping Sally even busier than usual, but the positive spin-offs for Beatnik have been (and will continue to be) huge.

Beatnik is very excited to have the amazing Jenny on board! At any given moment she can be found looking over Ande's shoulder while trying not to breathe too loudly. She is particularly excited about researching the market for new books and meeting passionate people with creative ideas. If that sounds like you get in touch with her: jenny@beatnikpublishing.com.

Other things that have been a cause for excitement in the Beatnik studio:

+ Gearing up for the Frankfurt 2012 Book Fair. The program this year is doubly as exciting as New Zealand is the guest of honour. Learn what that means here!

+ An interview on gather & hunt, Auckland's excellent, new "what's happening" website.

+ A roundup of our beautiful books on The Bread and Butter Letter's blog, one of our fabulous retailers (and neighbours).

+ Beatnik is getting sorted! A huge thank you to Charlie, Karen and George who have brought their expertise to the table and been a big help in getting Beatnik running smoothly these last few months!

We've got lots of exciting projects on the horizon, look out for a new title announcement in the coming weeks!
Love from,
Team Beatnik
