Children’s Book News from Publishing Perspectives


At BookExpo America, leaders in Russian children's publishing discussed some of the problems that plague children's and YA publishing sector. 

Roger Sutton has been editing the influential children's book review, The Horn Book, since 1996. He is especially worried about the longevity of libraries. 

At BookExpo America, educational publisher Capstone and humor/nonfiction publisher Andrews McMeel both announced new imprints aimed at children. 

Kristi Yamaguchi's kids books are inspired by her experiences as a young competitor finding her way in unfamiliar parts of the world. 

Publishing Perspectives' inaugural children's book conference offered up some fascinating answers to the question of what makes for a truly great kid's book.
