out there - north

In their four-wheel drive adventure across the North Island, Chris Morton and Tony Bridge, two of this country’s top outdoor photographers, and a group of their friends, take a trip through some of the North Island’s most spectacular landscapes. The drive took over two weeks and covered approximately 4000 kilometres.
Beginning in the urban sprawl of Auckland, they drove to the winterless beauty of the Far North, before travelling down the west coast and past the astonishing gold sand dunes above Hokianga Harbour. Across swollen rivers and rolling fields, through the challenges of the New Zealand terrain and weather, this was a North Island journey very few get to experience.
This book is in bookshops now and is a fantastic retelling of their journey.
