Unpublished Manuscript Award Finalists 2012 Announced
The New Zealand Society of Authors (PEN NZ Inc.) in association with the Ashton Wylie Charitable Trust are delighted to announce the five finalists for the Ashton Wylie Charitable Trust Unpublished Manuscript Award. The unpublished manuscript award offers one of the largest monetary prizes for literature in the country with an award of $10,000 for an unpublished work which embodies the mind, body, spirit genre.
Maggie Tarver, Chief Executive Officer for the NZSA, says the 2012 Unpublished Manuscript Award attracted an impressive response from

“The 2012 Ashton Wylie Charitable Trust Literature Awards have received a remarkable number of written works, with 58 entries in the unpublished manuscript category,” says Ms Tarver.
“Entries were of a very high standard and each of the shortlisted finalists has produced work of an excellent quality which demonstrates they have a natural aptitude for writing and possess a true understanding of the mind, body, spirit category.”
The finalists are as follows:
Alison Walker – Title: Blogging Awake.
Pamela Chivers – Title: Parapsychology: Men and Women.
Lionel Sharman - Title: Science for Vicars.
Kathleen Baran - Title: Lofty
Robyn Golightly – Title: A Down to Earth Spiritual Guide
